புதுச்சேரி முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி கடந்த பட்ஜெட்டில், அரசின் எந்த உதவித் தொகையும் பெறாத, 21 முதல் 55 வயதிற்கு உட்பட்ட, வறுமைக் கோட்டிற்கு கீழ் உள்ள குடும்பத் தலைவிகளுக்கு மாதம் 1,000 ரூபாய் உதவித் தொகை வழங்கப்படும் என அறிவித்தார்.
இத்திட்ட துவக்க விழா, நேற்று மாலை கதிர்காமம் அரசு பெண்கள் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளி வளாகத்தில் நடந்தது.முதல்வர் ரங்கசாமி முன்னிலையில், கவர்னர் தமிழிசை தலைமை தாங்கி, குடும்ப தலைவிக்கு 1,000 ரூபாய் மாதாந்திர உதவித் தொகை வழங்கும் திட்டத்தை துவக்கி வைத்தார்.
விழாவில், சபாநாயகர் செல்வம், அமைச்சர்கள் லட்சுமிநாராயணன், தேனீ ஜெயக்குமார், துணை சபாநாயகர் ராஜவேலு, அரசு கொறடா ஆறுமுகம், ரமேஷ் எம்.எல்.ஏ., துறை செயலர் உதயகுமார், இயக்குனர் முத்துமீனா உள்ளிட்டோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
இத்திட்டம் முதலில், 17ஆயிரம் பேருக்கு வழங்க முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.
தகுதியான பயனாளிகள்அதிகம் இருந்ததால், தற்போது 50 ஆயிரம் பேருக்கு வழங்கப்பட உள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் அரசுக்கு மாதம் 5 கோடி ரூபாய் கூடுதல் செலவாகும்.

Initially, it was decided to provide this scheme to 17 thousand people. Due to the large number of eligible beneficiaries, 50,000 people are now to be provided. This will cost the government an extra 5 crore rupees per month.
